i think the developers are struggling with the same question XD
simply calling it "DmC" makes no sense.
I learned its an origin story meaning its back before all the games. Thats reasonable I guess.
we had devil may cry 3 for that, and it was awesome.
now we have one before all that, which means if they don't mess up the storyline we wont even have a devil trigger >_____> that's just wrong I think

I wasn't that much of a fan of the DMC series, but a lot of people I knew loved them. It's a shame to see it die though.
Man, that sucks. I really can't say anything about the DMC games, but I hope that there is a gem of hope in here, it's Ninja Theory, after all. Until then, I'll wait for the GI review.

Megaman: It ended at 7. 8 completely fucked up the style and we didnt need 9 and 10. Powered up and a racing game? really?
MMX: They made a game and launched it before it was finished... MMX6 was not just the first error, but it completely fucked up the rest of the series! (7 and 8 were pretty good though... but now they might be making 9... figures)
MMZ: They preminately killed off (Spoilers)!!!! He died so many times before, why did they have to end it just like that?! Then again sigma's like that but...

To be honest I was confused and disturbed.(i actually allowed myself to be put in denial by telling myself that it was fake :P) so i did some research, and apparently its a prequal to a prequal, which means this dante has to be like 15 or 16. which kinda feels weird for me. DMC 3 was different becuase he was 18-19 which was cool for me. but now... i really dont care how good the story could be, or what the justification for chnaging dante this much is. I still...refuse...to get...this...game. fuck you ninja theory... :(

Fuck. I felt the exact same way. Ninja Theory are so full of themselves. I mean, really. Making a British Union Jack sewn on Dante's jacket? Really? And have you taken a look at Ninja's creative director? It looks like he just put himself into the game as Dante. Those jackasses are so full of themselves. Oh, and really, Dante smoking? The guy who designed Dante said himself that Dante had a "too-cool-for-smoking" attitude. Dante doesn't want a smoke, he just wants some goddamn pizza! And what happened to the stylish-ness of it? It looks a bit like they're trying to hard to make the action look like DMC3. Oh, and I haven't even gotten to the worst part. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH HIS HAIR?! The non-canonical anime states that Dante was born with a full head of white hair. Jeez, Capcom's trying something new, I know, but really, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I'm afraid they'll be pulling a DMC2...sigh...
Guess I should just pretend this DMC never happened and continue playing Dante's Awakening...
